All domestic applicants applying for financial aid must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This form is used to determine a student's eligibility for federal and state grants, federal loans and federal student employment. If you would like to be considered for the institutional need-based grant program, you will also be required to complete the CSS Profile and provide other supporting documentation.

3. Signed Parent and Student Federal Tax Return and W-2(s)

Submit 2023 tax documentation to Financial Aid Services Office via email, mail or fax.

You will need to submit copies of 2023 federal tax returns, including all schedules, statements, and W-2(s).

*If you are not required to file a 2023 federal tax return, please submit a Non Tax Filer Statement(s) with all applicable W2 Statement(s) from employer(s).

Noncustodial Parent Information

In an effort to reduce the number of items a student needs to provide, we no longer require noncustodial parent information be submitted annually. However, the noncustodial parent has the option of requesting a formal review of his or her current information. Unless you or your noncustodial parent advise us otherwise, Connecticut College will use last year’s application as a basis for determining the 2025-2026 noncustodial contribution. (Note: if the parents have divorced or separated since the last time the student applied for aid, we will need the noncustodial parent to complete the CSS Profile Noncustodial Parent Statement and submit their 2023 taxes and W2s to our office. Only the custodial parent’s information should be used to complete the CSS Profile and FAFSA as outlined above.)

Additional Information

Additional information may be requested during the review of a returning student’s file. Information such as (but not limited to) 2024 tax year information (federal tax return and W2s), most recent business tax information and asset clarification documents may be required. If necessary, Financial Aid Services staff will request this from you directly. Students are encouraged to monitor the status of their financial aid application – specifically outstanding documents – in Self Service on CamelWeb.
