A full slate of programs and activities awaited Camels of all ages on Friday including a photoshoot for National Coming Out Day, a career networking event, seminar experiences for parents and alumni, a keynote address with climate author David Wallace-Wells, and performances from the Connecticut College Theater Department, the College's a cappella groups, and PRISM.

In 1978, the first gay and lesbian student group was established at Conn. Now the Connecticut College LGBTQIA Center serves as a safe space and resource center for our community. For #NationalComingOutDay our campus community is invited to show their #CamelPride at the Center's annual event in Cro.

During the afternoon, student clubs and organizations sold swag and goodies at Harvestfest, a Fall Weekend tradition, and enjoyed an afternoon of fun on the green. President Bergeron discussed the future of athletics, OnStage at Conn hosted a pre-concert talk with Kittel & Co., and the evening ended with the Fall Ball dance in Cro.

Spent the afternoon around south campus. From Harvestfest, CC Men’s Soccer, ‘19 Reunion, & exploring the renovated Fanning Hall, the highlight of my day was seeing the reincorporation of the building’s eastern entrance as it left me with a physical and symbolic sense of openness, just like my many interactions with fellow Camels. I hope everyone enjoys the festivities tonight! ~ Anthony
