Sara Kogelmann ’20 named Academic All-American

Women’s soccer’s Sara Kogelmann ’20 has been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America Academic All-America Division III Women’s Soccer Team, as announced by the organization earlier this month. The defender was selected to the second team.

An economics major and mathematics and finance double minor, Kogelmann serves as an economics tutor on campus and is involved with the Peggotty Investment Club, the Women in Finance Club and the Women in STEM Club. On the field, Kogelmann helped anchor a back line which yielded one goal or less 10 times in 16 matches and blanked five opponents.

Kogelmann became the first student-athlete in program history to be recognized as a CoSIDA Academic All-American last year and she is just the third student-athlete in school history for any sport to be named a CoSIDA Academic All-American more than once.
