Connecticut College named a top producer of Fulbrights

Connecticut College has been named a top producer of Fulbright students for 2019-2020, according to the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

Five graduating Connecticut College seniors and one recent alumnus won Fulbright awards for 2019-2020, placing the College on the Chronicle of Higher Education’s annual list for top-producing bachelor’s institutions for the fourth time in five years.

“Connecticut College’s success with the Fulbright program is a testament to our commitment to educate students to put the liberal arts into action as citizens in an increasingly complex global society,” Dean of the College Jefferson Singer said.

The Fulbright Program is the U.S. government’s flagship international educational exchange program. Fulbright fellows receive round-trip transportation to the host country, a living stipend, research allowances and medical insurance.
