Camel Days at Conn
More than 1,300 people attended Camel Days, a special day introducing admitted students from the Class of 2026 to academic and student life at Conn. Students, along with their families, toured campus and met with current students, faculty and staff who offered an insider’s perspective into what makes Conn special. They attended an academic fair, and learned more about the arts, athletics, honors studies and sustainability on campus.
Camel Days kicked off at the Athey Center for Performance and Research at Palmer Auditorium and, because of the record number of guests, students overflowed into Evans Hall. Conn President Katherine Bergeron, Andrew Strickler, dean of admission and financial aid and Samirah Jaigirdar ’22, a double major in international relations and global Islamic studies, spoke about the essence of the Conn experience.
"There is no better day than an admitted student open house (except maybe move-in day), because we have the chance to celebrate the achievements of our applicants and envision the sunrise of their next academic and personal journey here at Conn," said Strickler.
